After hopefully a positive result at home to the Pitmen on Saturday, Bank Holiday Monday (25th August) brings a trip to one of our more local rivals, Oxford City.
A coach will leave Meadow Park at 12.45pm on Monday, with seats priced at £10 (with a 20% discount for T-Enders). We will need over 30 to make it run, but it would be fantastic to fill a 57 seater to really get behind the side and also raise some cash for the Trust.
Adults who would like to bring their tribe, can contact Dave Jones to discuss a family discount to make the coach a viable option.
If you wish to travel contact Dave Jones at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07540 257464
After yesterday’s AGM, Ian Compton, was elected as Chairman of Gloucester City Supporters Trust by the trust board after Lee Mills officially stood down from the role. Mills had been chairman since October 2012, but has moved on to become Marketing Manager of the football club.
Ian, known more commonly as ‘Taff’, has been involved with the trust and supporters club since 2001 and has been a supporter of the football club for even longer.
After his appointment, Ian was delighted to be taking on the role;
“To be given the opportunity to act as Chairman is a huge honour. With the support of my fellow Board members, the Trust will continue to actively represent all members and support the football club in numerous ways. These are exciting times at our club. A talented squad assembled by Tim, and a move back home hopefully imminent.”
Ian also reiterated the need to support the trust;
“The Trust needs your support. Quite simply the more members the stronger the Trust. If you are not a member of the Trust, please consider joining. If anyone has any questions/ideas on how we can do things better, please get in touch. We are continually trying to improve and come up with new fundraising ideas.”
A report from yesterday’s AGM will be online soon.
